Tech giant Google released the Google cardboard VR kit at Google I/O in June 2014. It was an affordable kit to get started with VR and the product was accepted well. With a pair of lens, glass, cardboard outside and other components, the Cardboard set was every VR lover’s dream. The set worked primarily by downloading an app onto a compatible Android device and fitting the device into the set, videos could then be views in the Cardboard VR attached to the face. With prices starting from 15 dollars the Google Cardboard VR set is a must get for every VR enthusiast.

One thing seemed to be an issue though; the set was only available and shipped to the US. Today Google is making the VR set available to other countries via the Google Store. From today, people in Canada, UK, Germany, and France can go to the Google store online to order one of these devices for £15 a pair or two for £25. Cardboard may not give the same experience as a more expensive HTC Vive or Samsung Gear VR but it’s a great way to get started. What are your thoughts on Google Cardboard set being available in more countries? Leave a comment.
