Google's Jump VR will now have new cameras including cinema quality

On day two of Google I/O, they talked about Jump, Google's VR platform. Jump is the custom case or rig for the cameras, and the software capable of putting all the footage from the several camera's together into one 360 degrees video. Jump doesn't make cameras, this is where GoPro has come in for the past year. GoPro cameras work with Jump as show below.

The GoPro version of Jump will still be sold, but now more cameras are coming into the mix. IMAX will now help Jump produce cinema quality videos in 360 degrees! This is a huge step for 360 videos as most cameras have terrible quality in this early stage of VR. Yi Technologies, located in China will be providing cameras to produce an action version of Jump.

The New York Times, Paramount Pictures, and Discovery Networks will be given early access to these devices and we can only imagine what they will create with it. YouTuber's who use the YouTube spaces in New York and Los Angeles will now be equipped with these cameras for vloggers to check out and film with.

Do you think VR fits into the future of movies? Will everything be in 360 degrees soon? Give us your opinion in the comments below.
