Toyota and Uber are working together

Toyota, a popular Japan-based automaker is now teaming up with Uber, a ride-share company with roots in San Francisco.

This new deal allows Uber's drivers to lease Toyota vehicles and pay the bill using their money earned from Uber. The details of the lease will be specific to the driver and Toyota will also be helping bring Uber to places it's currently not.

The Verge said it right when they said there is a "lingering question". Will Toyota make it possible to have automated Uber cars? This is something that not only automakers are pushing for, but ride-sharers like Lift and Uber as well. Lift has already partnered up with General Motors. Will Toyota be Uber's key to self-driving Uber's? Toyota is already working on autonomous devices for themselves but will Uber have access to these "future cars?" These are questions that aren't known and may not be for a while.

It seems that Toyota and Uber will help each other if they work together but what do you think? Let us know your opinion in the comments below and be sure to return here to learn lots more on this topic in the future.
