ZTE joins the VR crowd

ZTE recently announced that they will be releasing a new virtual reality headset similar to the Gear VR by Samsung. You slide ZTE's new Axon 7 into the device and the phone is most the technology involved in the device.

Based on the above picture, there is a few buttons and a touchpad-like, control pad. The motion tracker is a 9-axis gyroscope. Again there isn't much technology involved in the body of the device; it’s mostly dependent on the phone.

As of right now there is no release date or price. We do know that the Axon 7 does support Android's new Daydream VR platform but as The Verge elaborated, it’s not clear whether that means only the phone is capable or the new VR headset is as well.

We are expecting more information to be revealed and we will bring it to you as soon as we hear. Do you think this headset has anything different than the rest? Let us know in the comments below.
