Amazon’s personal voice assistant Alexa is in a race with the worldwide search giant’s recently announced Google Assistant. The Amazon Echo and Google Home respectively both take advantage of AI-based technology to provide seamless information and automation to end users. One thing has been a limitation though for AI enthusiasts is the unavailability of the Amazon Echo outside of the US and the very likely Google Home’s pending release in the US only. Though these technologies would be available via other means such as smartphones, users would still like to have a feel of it without installing apps or the likes.

Amazon is now making its Alexa, voice assistant available through the web. A standard web browser should be able to access the echoism.io website to have a feel of Alexa in action. All that is needed is an amazon account to log in with and that is it, you are done. The website was developed to allow developers worldwide to have a feel of Alexa and explore its capabilities but the idea was born out of a hackathon last year. This might hint at the possibility of the Echo going worldwide or Amazon bringing the platform and its implementation to many other devices. Hit the source link below to test Alexa and see it in action.
