The Computex show is finally here and it comes with it a lot of announcements and product releases. Not only is Acer unveiling new gadgets, smartphone and computing firm Asus has announced its Zenfone 3 with surprisingly new specs and starting at $249 it promises to give you value for your money. Last year’s plastic bodied Zenfone 2 base model had 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage running Android 5.0 on top of an Intel Atom chipset; even so the Zenfone 2 gave buyers value for their money and became one of the most popular devices to enter the US market. This year Asus announced a total of 3 devices that have lived to the general expectation of the public.

The Zenfone 3 comes with a metal and glass body designed to fit well in the hands. The 5.5 inch IPS touch screen on the Zenfone would also appeal to those wishing for a display (coming in at 401ppi). This year Zenfone has a quad-core Snapdragon 625 processor handling the Android Marshmallow OS and a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device. The 32GB base model with 3GB of Ram promises good performance while the 16MP camera seems to be an improvement over last year’s model. Asus also announced the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, a pricier ($499), more premium variant of the base model with a bumped up 6GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 820. The Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra is a phablet-sized, further bumped up deluxe device with a 6.8-inch screen. All these devices have the ZenUI customization out of the box. Leave a comment.
