The Zenbook 3 might just blow the Macbook out of the water

Asus unveiled its new Zenfone 3 series at Computex two days ago. The new range of smartphones seemed to impress everyone and have so far been on top of reviews. The company also unveiled it's Zenbook 3 the successor to the Zenbook 2 from last year. The Zenbook 3 promises to be better than its predecessor which is already considered one of the top laptops currently. The Zenbook 2 was just 0.51 inches thick with a core M processor and a QHD display with an insane battery life. At the event, Asus also announced its Transformer 3 and Transformer 3 Pro tablets.

Now the newly announced zenbook 3 is only 0.48 inches thick, making it one of the thinnest laptops only second to HP’s Spectre range. The full aluminium body guarantees a sturdy build with fanless cooling and USB Type C fast charging. Asus also says the new Zenbook thinner than the ultrathin MacBook but yet still way better in terms of performance. The processor in the 12 inch Zenbook is Intel’s core i7 coupled with 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD for storage. The Zenbook does not only compete with the MacBook in only performance but price as well, with the base model at $1999 and a slightly cheaper $999 variant with watered down specs.
