Your wearables may be able to unlock Windows 10

Windows Hello is an upcoming feature yet to debut on Windows’ operating system that would allow easy and secure unlocking of Windows 10 devices. The feature would work by fingerprint on devices equipped with fingerprint scanners, or by face detection using the camera or webcam on the device. In fact the ability to scan the iris may soon be added to Windows Hello in the near future.

Today Microsoft announced a new way to unlock Windows PCs with a wearable device such as Microsoft’s band. On stage at Computex, the computing giant demonstrated how wearable devices could communicate with and unlock a Windows PC. The announcement is thrilling and brings a whole lot of excitement to users with devices not equipped with fingerprint and iris scanners. What do you think about this announcement? How does this compare to the trusted devices feature in Android phones? Leave a comment.
