The tech industry has blown up in both size and creativity within the past 10 years. There have been many bumps along the road and now there are many categories of tech. The most popular one of today’s generation being the smartphone market. However, in this complicated market there are two major companies that everyone should know or have heard about… Android - Created with google (Samsung being the strong contender) and Apple – Everything is made and sold by them however they are ridiculously overpriced. There has been a huge contest between the two companies and they’ve both invented marvelous products. But a question that’s been on the average consumers’ mind is… Which one is better? Is it Apple? The company who care about their design and constantly produced beautiful metal unibody phones? Or is it Android? The humungous US tech giant in which many companies are keen to work for and Samsung seem to be taking the lead with their high tech Samsung Galaxy S7 edge…Well Mary Meeker's 2016 Internet Trends report shall provide a short but detailed overview upon the contest!

Taking a look back in approximately 2008/2009 when iOS had the lead. When it comes to selling their products and marketing, Apple have an incredibly noticeable strategy, which is to add new features to their devices annually whilst price the phone near the £500-£600 mark! It’s been the same since day one, however as mentioned before, companies do work for android, and yet they seem to get the idea of listening to what their customers want. More bang for their buck! Nowadays an average android phone costs a mere 1/3 of that of an iPhone and some even prove to be better! Technology is still advancing and prices may keep falling!
So whilst the Smartphone market is very fragile and people are becoming fussier by the day, it really comes down to what you prefer. A curved glass build with fast wireless charging? Just place your phone on a pad and your good to go? Or a metal build with 3D Touch? Simply view a message quickly by pressing the screen harder… Whatever it is… let us know in the comment section below!
