Electronics giant Samsung and network giant AT&T have announced the new Galaxy S7 Active smartphone just today. It is respectively an updated, stronger and more well-built version of the normal Samsung Galaxy S7.
One of the main aspects of this new device is that it boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water-resistance, as well as a MIL-SPEC 810G rating for shock-resistance. So it won't be a problem at all if you would love to throw the smartphone around without it being a victim of serious damage.
Samsung have made their Galaxy Active series well-known due to their bulky but powerful smartphones. With the S7 Active, Samsung have utilised a fingerprint scanner, a Quad HD display, 12 megapixel camera, 32GB of storage space, a 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 820 processor, microSD card slot, a very large 4,000mAH battery, and of course wireless charging. Thanks to some of these elements, the S7 Active is somewhat a better upgrade than the normal S7 smartphone - let's not forget additional features such as a dedicated button for a quick view of a compass, barometer, and more action tools.
Samsung's latest device will launch on June 10, available online and in-stores with a price tag of $26.50 per month with AT&T Next, or $33.13 per month with AT&T Next Every Year.
At the moment, there isn't any news on whether the smartphone will be available in any other countries and prices, so make sure you keep our website in your bookmarks bar as we continue to bring you updates.
