The Moto X is not dead after all
Lenovo, the company that bought Motorola in 2014 this week announced the Moto Z, its own entry into the modular phone market. The Moto Z packs a punch that many think only a flagship should have. This release implied the death of the Moto X line of devices to many people as Lenovo had taken over. Despite the complaints of Lenovo not updating Moto X devices as they deserve, there seems to be a crowd that loves the Moto X line as they come with the unique Moto Voice and Moto display features. The death of the Moto X would be a sad one indeed.
Lenovo has made an official statement concerning these rumours stating that the Moto X series is not dead. The Moto Z seems to be a whole new line of devices with a different target market. It is also likely that a Moto X device would be released sometime this year, probably September just like the previous generations. There seem to be many questions as to what specifications the Moto X line could come with as the Moto Z seems to have flagship specs. The difference between both lines may simply be Moto mods.
