Apple announces a new watch app called Breathe
During Apple's WWDC 2016 developer conference, Apple released a new app for the Apple Watch called Breathe, which as you guessed, is a health app. The whole purpose of Breathe is to let users get rid of daily stressors by setting daily breathing sessions that can be launched throughout the watch face or set up in advance with reminders.
The breathing sessions can last between one and five minutes by using the Digital crown on the Apple Watch, and it includes summaries of each session once the time is up, including the recorded heart rate throughout the time limit.
Apple is hoping that the Breathe App will help users get rid of or help eliminate some of the stress that comes with everyday life, and they could be onto something as studies have shown that if you take a couple of minutes out of your day to "breathe" or meditate, it can help eliminate some stress and even prolong your life. The breathe app is coming apart of watchOS 3, which will be a free update in the fall.
