One Plus X discontinued
The One Plus 3 launched hours ago with its great specs and a rather moderate $399 price tag. The “flagship killer” has received some quite good reviews even now. Last year’s One Plus 2 came along with a budget phone; the dual sim One Plus X with a 5-inch screen, 3GB RAM and a quad-core processor. This provided buyers on a budget with a One Plus that performs quite close to the flagship product at a cheaper price. The One Plus X was well received. At the One Plus launch event, the introduction of the OP3 wasn’t the only announcement made.
The One Plus X product line has been discontinued. The company’s CEO Pete Lau said the One Plus X would not be released as they were focusing on the One Plus flagship line. The company hopes to merge the Oxygen OS development with the Hydrogen OS China-only development to provide a better experience for the user. One Plus would also be focusing more on after-sales services, something its users have complained about for a while. The company’s recent jump into VR also means it would channel more resources into development. Many still consider the price of the One Plus 3 to be budget enough thus there would be no need for a watered down version. Leave a comment.
