Apple's "Thunderbolt Display" is the only monitor Apple ever created. It sold for $999.00 and that's A LOT of money for a monitor of its specs.

This was a standalone display for Apple's many computers. You could use it with your Mac Pro or Mac Mini, or just have it as a second display for your Mac or MacBook. It was called the "Thunderbolt Display" because that is how you connected it to your devices. Last updated in 2011, this $1000 1080p display was long overdue for an update (or to be discontinued).
This raises the question, Will it be replaced? According to The Verge, there is no current word on if the display will be replaced. Lots of us are hoping for a updated possible 5K version of Apple's display, but it's not looking good for us. Their have been no signs of Apple updating this display. So it looks like we will have to wait and see.
You can still buy the display on Apple's website until they run out of their current inventory. What do you think about Apple's "Thunderbolt Display"? Should this have been discontinued a while ago? Let us know in the comments below.
