Microsoft to release high-end phone

Microsoft has always been on top of the computing operating system market with Windows and its host of productivity applications across all platforms. Upon acquiring Nokia, the company seemed to have slowed down its production of smartphones as the market was quite unfavourable. Last month Microsoft made it known publicly that it would exit the consumer smartphone business. It wasn’t clear if this meant it would shut down all its mobile divisions or not. All the same, there remains a number of faithful Windows phone and Microsoft device lovers who would not mind purchasing devices from the company.

Redmond has provided hints that it may actually continue in the mobile division. At the Microsoft BUILD tour, the company representative stated that it adopted Nokia’s strategy of providing low-end phones in order to grab a market share but that is likely to change. He also made it clear that the enterprise or business market is where their strength lies thus it is expected that they would focus on this area. One way we now expect this is for Microsoft to push out a new high-end smartphone aimed at satisfying business needs. For now, there can only be speculations as to what the likely device would be. A surface phone? A rebranded Lumia? Let us know what you think
