Wileyfox announces three new Mid-Range phones with low-end prices
We have seen many high-end and mid-range phones with great specs but not so great prices on the market today. A somewhat unheard of company called Wileyfox is looking to change that as they announced three new smartphones that have mid-range specs for low-end prices.
The first phone that was announced is called the WileyFox Spark, and it is being sold unlocked and has dual-sim capability. Powering it is a 2,200mAh battery, alongside a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. There is a 5-inch 720p resolution display. Also on board is a 8 megapixel camera on both sides. The Spark will set you back £90/€120.
The second phone, the Wileyfox Spark+ has the same internals as the regular spark does, but with double the RAM and Storage, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of Storage, respectively. The rear camera also gets a spec increase to a 13-megapixel shooter. The Spark+ is as expected, more than the Spark costing at £115/€150.
And finally, the third phone is called the Spark X, and it increases the screen size to 5.5-inches, but it still keeps the 720p resolution. The battery is also increased to 3,000mAh. The internals are in-line with the Spark+. It is important to mention that all three phones run on Cyanogen OS 13, which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Spark X will set you back £130/€170.
The Spark is available for pre-order right now from Wileyfox itself and other retailers, and it will ship sometime around July 12th. The others aren't that far away from launching, as they will be available for pre-order sometime by the end of the month, about a week apart.
