Samsung Galaxy Note 7 new leak confirms iris scanner
We're heading into the half-way line of 2016, and there are various anticipated smartphones still yet to be released. One of those is Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 (yes, 7 not 6) which is expected to be released in August.
There have been multiple leaks and rumours regarding the Note 7 that we've covered here on TechDependent, and this time, there are reports based on the potential iris scanner.
A newly leaked image of the smartphone displays the front of the display. Moreover, it indicates that the Note 7 will consist of a dual edge panel and measuring at 5.8-inches. Viewing the top of the smartphone, there are a few additional cutouts and details that aren't available on the current Galaxy S7 Edge - now this could mean that the Note 7 will feature an iris scanner.
Thanks to a recent Samsung patent application, there was a demonstration based on how the iris scanner would operate. What's more is that it indicated that three lenses would be implemented on the device in order for the system to work accurately and effectively in terms of recognition. And this is exactly what the leaked images point out as we can see that there are three circular holes on the top of the Note 7 display.
Additionally, several reports expect the device to consist of a 5.8-inch Quad HD dual-edge Super AMOLED display, a 6GB space of RAM, a significantly developed 12MP camera supported by dual-pixel phase detection autofocus, as well as a battery size somewhere in the region of 3,600mAh and 4,000mAh.
Now that we have a new and possibly realistic leaked image of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, our ideas and opinions are slowly strengthening, but it will be exciting to see what Samsung release as the final product.
