Nintendo NX production hasn’t gotten far
Last year Nintendo announced a new console for gaming enthusiasts. The Nintendo NX as its popularly called is the next in line after the 3DS and the Wii U, possibly sharing similar hardware. There is so much excitement in the gaming community as many enthusiasts consider the NX to be the next generation of gaming. There have already been rumours about the console having VR capabilities even though Nintendo seems to be awfully quiet about the upcoming device. The NX name itself appears to be a codename thus we may find the name would change upon release.
Even though the official release date announced by Nintendo was March 2017, the console has not appeared anywhere yet. This comes as a surprise to avid gamers waiting to see the appearance of the device before its release. There have been rumours that the production of the device has been delayed to early 2017. A translated extract from a Nintendo executive stated that:
“...with our partners to make adjustments. As for the #NX, manufacturing is being prepped. We're considering how much to automate.”
From the look of things, it doesn’t seem like the console would be ready on the promised date. What do you think?
