Samsung has just released the world's first UFS Micro SD card. UFS stands for Universal Flash Storage, and is much faster than the previous top-tier Micro SD cards, which weren't slow. According to Android Headlines, these Micro SD cards can compete and even out perform current SSDs.

These new cards have a read speed that is 10 times faster than yesterday's top cards. The write speed is twice as fast as before. Android Headlines reports a read speed of 530 megabytes per second and a write of 170 megabytes per second. Samsung is able to do this because of the IOPs or input output operations per second, which show amazing margins, 350 times better than before. 35,000 IOPs to be exact.
For now these cards come in 32, 64, 128, and 256 GB options. They look like they will come with a large price tag, well over $250.00. You will be able to use these cards for things like drones, cameras, and Samsung says they will be able to handle the high quality of VR. You can also put one these in your new galaxy for amazing results, but it will cost you.
Samsung should release the prices, and addition information in the coming few months. What do you think of these new cards? Let us know in the comments below.
