The world's first dual-screen smartphone

Yotaphone 2 is the first smartphone that has a screen on both sides of the phone. The front screen screen is made for regular use meanwhile the back screen operates like a kindle, the screen is made to save battery and it is all black and white. The back screen is claimed to last easily over "100 hours" for reading and 18 hours of navigating. You can think of the back screen as the "ultra battery saving mode", except that all apps are still accessible and the screen has a gray scale level of 16 which is pretty sharp.

The back screen does let the user access all the same apps as the front of the screen. Yota does recommend using the back screen as much as possible to save battery life. The back screen will need some getting use to do to the colors and smaller screen size than the front screen.

The phone itself has an AMOLED screen with an 8 megapixel front camera and 2.1 megapixels on the back camera. The front screen is 5" meanwhile the back is a smaller 4.7" screen. It has a decent 2,500mAh battery that Yota claims can last up to 2 days with normal usage. It comes with one speaker and a micro USB charging port. It runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.4, snapdragon 801, and 2GB of ram. The smartphone also supports quick charge and wireless charging like most of the Samsung Galaxy phones. An unlocked Yotaphone 2 can be purchased through Amazon for 300USD.

Battery seems to be the biggest issue with smartphones and having a gray screen can help solve the problem.
