Google's rumored in-house smartwatches leaked
There has been a rumor roaming around the internet claiming that Google will build two of their own in-house Nexus smartwatches according to a report via Android Police. The two devices are codenamed Angelfish and Swordfish, and will have a fall release. The report, however, did not have a picture included describing the two watches, instead, it had a lengthy description of what it could look like. Thankfully, a newly leaked render puts those words described in a somewhat official picture.
According to Android Police, the render shows the watches are "near finished," which means that Google could make last minute design changes at any time before they are released. Android Police went on to say that "They could end up looking totally different!" and adding "It's possible one or both could be canceled or delayed."
The Angelfish model will be the bigger one out of the two, and it will supposedly support LTE connectivity, GPS sensors, as well as a heart rate monitor. The smaller Swordfish won't have all those sensors, and will be the barebone Android Wear smartwatch that most consumers aim for.
Both watches will supposedly support Google's new Assistant platform, which was launched at their I/O developer conference this year. Last bit of information also comes from Android Police, saying that the Angelfish model will have a chunkier design with more buttons and the Swordfish model being the smaller one and supporting Google's MODE watch bands.
