LG's V10 successor could be called the V20

While LG's latest flagship, the G5 is rumored to be a dud, LG could be saving something exciting with the V20, the rumored successor to the V10. According to a Korean website called ET News, the phone could either be called the V20, or the V11, and it could be released in early September, which is less than a year since the V10's launch, as it hit the market in late October of 2015.

There are no details on what the specifications of the phone could have, but just like the rest of the flagship smartphones, it could feature a large QHD display, along with the secondary ticker that we have on the first model. It could also be drop and shock resistant. LG is probably working on making this phone their best one yet, as rumors are pointing that their G5 has not been performing as well as suspected.

The release of the rumored V20 is earlier than usual, as mentioned above. If true, the V10 will be facing some pretty tough competition, as Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 will be launched on August 2nd, with a release soon after, alongside Apple's iPhone 7 being released in mid-September. Only time will tell wether or not the phone will be able to succeed with the touch competition ahead of it. Stay tuned to TechDependent as we will be covering all of the major events around the upcoming smartphone's launches.
