The Apple Watch placed highest in Smartwatch satisfaction survey
The Apple Watch seems to be a hit, as sales have it beat between some Android Wear watches and now popular market research company J.D. Power has published their 2016 Smartwatch Device Satisfaction Report, where Apple's Watch was ranked the highest among smartwatch manufacturers in customer satisfaction. The second place winner is Samsung, even though they were first in the fitness band category.
Going into details, the report measured overall device satisfaction between 2,696 costumers who purchased a smartwatch within the past year, with factors listed in order of importance: ease of use, comfort, battery life, phone features, price, strength/durability, display size, styling/appearance, reliability, apps available, and customer service.
When looking at the scores, Apple earned a satisfaction score of 852 out of 1,000, and a five out of five Power Circle rating, which is comparable to Samsung, who finished in second place with a score of 842 and two out of five Power Circle rating. Sony, Fitbit, and LG finished the top 5 places for the report, with scores of 840, 839, and 827 respectively.
This isn't the first study that the Apple Watch has had a favorable outcome. In June of last year, research panel Wristly ran a survey that claimed that overall customer satisfaction with the Apple Watch was at 97%. Tim Cook later cited that statistic during an earnings call.
