ZTE's Daydream VR-compatible Axon 7 preorders start today
Just last month, ZTE unveiled their Axon 7 smartphone to the masses. And now, roughly a month later, the phone is available for preorder. The phone can be preordered through Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, Newegg, and it's own online store starting today for a price of $399.98, with the delivery to start on July 27th.
ZTE is highlighting that the phone is Daydream-VR compatible when the service launches later this fall. Daydream if you recall is Google's own VR system. Alongside the Daydream compatibility, the Axon 7 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, a hi-fi audio system, a rear 20-megapixel sensor with a fully metal design. There are dual SIM slots on the board, which are compatible with GSM networks such as T-Mobile and AT&T. These specifications are also found on higher priced phones, so it will be interesting how it'll stack up against the competition.
