The Xbox One S is getting a rough Gears of War 4 makeover

The new Xbox One S is getting a rough and gritty design thanks to Gears of War 4. Microsoft announced today a new limited edition console, which was released at E3 last month. It features a red metallic battle-weathered color scheme, laser-etched scratches and a bloody fingerprint on the D-pad. It's Microsoft's first special edition Xbox One S.

The console has a 2TB hard drive, a matching controller and will come bundled with a Gears of War 4 download code, which launches October 11th. It will also give you access to downloadable content such as multiplayer maps as well as the Microsoft 10 version of the game because of the new Xbox Play Anywhere initiative. The Gears of War bundle will cost you $449, which is a bit more expensive than the base Xbox One S, which is $299, but it will be available "for a limited time while supplies last." The controllers will be available separately starting on September 13th for $74.99.

Although it doesn't look as good as the Gears of War 4 custom Xbox Elite controller, you can pre-order the limited edition console right now.
