Tesla: Part Deux
The leader in autonomous personal vehicle, Tesla, is now trying to enter the mass transit section. Elon Musk has recently announced the future plans of Tesla concerning autonomous buses which is part of what he calls as Part Deux of his master plan, ten years after the first one has been released. Apart from urban passenger transport, the CEO also announced exciting news about the plans of Tesla to make autonomous trucks. Such an attempt has been successfully made by Mercedes and Tesla wants to compete against it.
Apart from the new vehicles announcement, Elon also said that Tesla in working on a project that may enable owners to make money with their cars even while away. I imagine that it may be some sort of ‘autonomous Uber’.
Other announcements such as the creation of with integrated battery storage, the development of a safer autonomous drive and the expansion of the electric vehicle line have been made.
Tesla’s plan for the next decade seems to be a really promising and exciting one. However no details were given concerning the autonomous trucks but concerning the buses, Elon Musk said that it will solve various problems of everyday transportation.
