HP and HTC are apparently planning to come together to create devices such as PCs essentially designed and branded for HTC's Vive virtual reality headset.
What's more is that HP's PCs will come bundled with HTC's Vive and consist of VR-ready features. This could potentially mean that we'll be seeing a piece of virtual reality technology that could come with a somewhat 'friendlier' price.
Virtual reality headsets such as the HTC Vive, or Oculus Rift, have been popular for their high price tags, considering the fact that the hardware used for them is expensive. Let's not forget that PCs with the ability to operate virtual reality are also quite costly.
However, new graphics cards are becoming more powerful, and this lowers the price barrier. For example, Nvidia's GTX 1060 is VR-ready, but predecessors needed Nvidia's GTX 970 on top in order to be VR-capable.
This could mean that HP will be working on the production of devices based on the GTX 1060 machine. Radeon's new RX 480 could also be in the list of ingredients, too.
Thanks to the UK's brexit, buyers will have to dish out an extra 10% for any new PC or device. Do you think HP and HTC will cook up something special?
