Snowden's new device enables you to know when radio signals are entering and exiting your device. This will let you know when your phone calls might be being recorded, or a hacker is getting data from your phone.

Snowden uses Airplane Mode for an example. He says that when you put your phone on Airplane Mode, even though its supposed to stop radio transmission in your device, it doesn't always work. His device is to eliminate the unknown, you will always know what your device is doing. If there is an issue and you have to act quickly, The Verge reports that there is a dedicated "kill-switch" to immediately shut off your device completely.

The device works by plugging into your SIM card slot to access the internals directly, including "GPS, Bluetooth, cellular connectivity, and Wi-Fi" according to The Verge. Your SIM card then moves to a different connector within Snowden's device.

Unfortunately for now, these renderings you see in this article is all this device is right now. A prototype has not been created yet, but once one is Snowden hopes to manufacture these devices in China. The device was presented earlier this week at MIT, by Edward and his friend Andrew Huang who is involved with the device and has a background in this field.

What do you think of this device and how expensive do you think it will be? Let us know in the comments below.
