Samsung doubles wearable market share
According to the newest Worldwide Quartly Wearable Device Tracker published by The International Data Corporation, Samsung is catching up to Apple sales.
Apple's total shipment dropped by 2 million units from first year's quarter. But Samsung seems to be selling well, their sales went from 0.4million from last year sales to 0.6million in the past quarter. Samsung latest wearable is the GS2, it comes in two different unique designs and has outsold previous Samsung wearables.
Smartwears have gone up in sales by 250% according to CNET. Sony, Huwei, LG and other comapnies are making smartwearables as well but Samsung seems to have the biggest drive. Samsung holds 70% of those sales, which makes it the fastest-growing market in smart-wears. Apple always had a big drive so it should not be a surprise that they finally dropped sales.
The Android market seems like it will grow more sales in smartwears as Google starts to bring change into their smartwear software. And of course Google will first release their newest software to LG and Motorola, than later to HTC and Samsung.
