Blackberry has done it again, is it a success? It doesn't look like it
After a massive period of failing, Blackberry created the Blackberry Priv, an android phone with a mechanical keyboard. The Priv didn't do amazingly, but now Blackberry are back with another android phone that features Alcatel hardware.
The new phone, named the DTEK50 (Yes we know, a very bad name), features 3GB of RAM, a snapdragon 617 octa-core processor and a 13MP rear camera. The
phone has a very low 16GB internal storage but has a microSD card slot that can be expanded to 2TB.
What I immediately missed from the new Blackberry is that there is not a physical keyboard. This, for me, was a big selling point and it was something that you really made you see that it was a Blackberry phone. What Blackberry has done with this phone is heavily focus on the encryption. The device is now a safe device. The phone comes with a DTEK app which gives you stats on your devices safety and which apps are using which functions.
You can pre-order the device now for a low cost of 299$.
I think that now the new devices have lost the physical keyboard that the phones aren't like they were. They (In my mind) are not considered real Blackberry's. What do you think? Let us know in the comments down below and connect with us on social media.
