The new Xbox One S controller can be connected to your PS4
Being connected and being fully functional are two completely different things. Someone from VentureBeat was just able to connect an Xbox One S controller to a PS4. This is possible because of the way the controller connects, Bluetooth. The DUALSHOCK 4, the actual controller intended for the PS4, also uses Bluetooth to connect to its console.
As VentureBeat reported, the Xbox One S controller doesn't actually work on the PS4, it does say it connected, though, shown in the picture below. You can grab the Xbox One S for yourself on August 2nd and try this trick out for yourself. Even though the controller doesn't work, the connection is strong enough for the PS4 to acknowledge it. Maybe someone will be able to figure out a way to fully connect the Xbox One S controller, will it be you?
