Tumblr is a massive platform with millions of users. Before this week Tumblr users had to make money elsewhere but this week Tumblr has announced that ads will be placed on all blogs, meaning that people can start making a living off of Tumblr.

The website owned by Yahoo has announced that ads will be put on all blogs, unless the users turn the ads off. Even though the advertisements will be displayed, users don't immediately earn money from the ads because the program is still in beta and in a later update, users will be able to earn money.

Tumblr has been on an update roll, with loads of new updates released this summer including live video, new messaging systems and a new GIF maker. David Karp (Founder of Tumblr) also says that many new updates are still coming.

Do you use Tumblr? Do you enjoy these updates and use them? Let us know in the comments down below and make sure to check out our page on Tumblr and also check out our other social media.
