Fove may just be the next VR competitor
HTC’s Vive and the Oculus Rift are probably the big names in the VR game right now, along with the upcoming Google Daydream project we are expecting but other companies are making their way into the VR scene with innovation. One such company is Fove, a new player in the VR game hoping to bring something new to the scene. The company managed to generate some 11 million USD in funding recently which may be a good start for a startup. The Fove VR headset would come with eye-tracking capabilities and other features to bring virtual reality to the next level. With eye tracking the way we experience games, browsing and multimedia is going to change and would bring major advances. The company has not yet made the release date for the device known or the specifications it would likely have but it does promise something new and innovative; its first piece is set to be displayed at Comic-Con and SIGGRAPH 2016 so stay tuned for more updates.
