Every quarter we see how Apple collects its money. Now you can sit and sob as you watch how much money Apple makes every second.
A website called Every Second lets you see how much Apple makes every time the clock ticks. It doesn't have any accessibility to the internal sales figures or anything like that, but it's really based on extracted info from earnings and other public information.
It's amazing to see just how much Apple makes in a couple minutes, not to mention a whole year! In about two and a half minutes, Apple sold 1000 iPhones and about $1,000,000 in revenue.
In 2014, the average household income was around $53,000 according to the Department of Numbers. Apple makes that amount in exactly nine seconds.
If it's accurate, Every Second has great stats. As well as counting the amount of iPhones sold and revenue, it also tracks Apple Store visitors, Apple Pay revenue generated and how many iMessages were sent.
We were already impressed with Apple even before knowing these statistics, but this now takes them to the next level.
