New Nexus Launcher rumored to ditch app drawer
Google's Nexus devices are rumored to come out soon and with the devices the custom launcher could replace the app drawer with a different icon. Instead of having the original app drawer icon, there will be an arrow above the home icon that the user can swipe up on to gain full access over app drawer. Google is calling the new icon, the "G" tab. This isn't the first time Android OS launchers have ditched the app drawer, as Huawei had ditched ditched app drawer back in 2012, saying that the app drawer makes it complicated for users to understand the phone. And now it seems like Google is taking the same path with their newest Nougat update that is coming later in 2016. There are already Nexus Launcher APK's out there that users can access but they are unstable and can be harmful to the phone.
Some people agree that this is a good thing while others think Google is trying to look more like Apple. What do you think about the App Drawer? Should Android get rid of it or keep it on the next N update?
