Polar changing its direction with their new smartwatch

Wearable technology, was it a fad? Or is it just getting started? Polar is certainly still trying, with their new release of the M600. Polar released the M400 in 2014, and it supported GPS tracking, it seemed like the baseline for a sophisticated smart watch, more than a step tracker.

According to Gizmodo, earlier last year Polar released their A300 smartwatch. This sacrificed that GPS functionally for the price. It appears Polar threw that idea out the window because they are back again on the functionality side with the M600.

This is a real "smart watch" because you are now able to receive your notification on this device. With a price of $330 it seems a little expensive, but it does have Polar's heart rate sensor. This sensor, according to Gizmodo, is one of the most accurate ones compared to its competitors, so that's a plus. The device comes with a 1.3-inch touchscreen, and one button that takes you to Polar's fitness apps. The M600 comes with 4GB of internal storage, which can be filled with other Android Wear apps.

If you have the pretty penny to spend and want a more fitness dedicated smartwatch, the Polar M600 is for you. Would you buy this? Let us know in the comments below.
