Apple Music On Android Records 3.3 Stars Beta Ratings

How time flies considering the progress of Apple's venture into music streaming. On November 2015, Apple released its music streaming service naturally called Apple Music for Android phones as a beta. However, 9 months later, the app is now out of beta and now version 1.0. Since it's release, It boast of an average rating of 3.3 stars on the Play Store.
When Apple launched the Android beta of Apple Music, the company promised a full native app with everything you’d expect from a modern Android app.
The Apple Music app on Android is what you'd you expect from most music apps on Android, it features a homescreen widget, as well as the option to save songs on a microSD, plus more.
Being on Android is key to Apple’s strategy when it comes to music. Apple knows well that it isn’t just competing with good old MP3 files. The company is competing with heavyweight music streaming giants, such as Spotify, Soundcloud, Google Play Music and, yes, even YouTube. All these services are available on iOS and Android.
Ratings from the Play Store indicates the app is faced with some challenges which includes; the app is still crippled with bugs, music doesn’t play, downloaded songs get randomly removed and the app crashes a lot, which is expected when the app is in beta, but now that it is out of beta, Apple needs to update the app quick to fix those issues.
Apple projects big hopes for Apple Music. When Apple launched the service, it came with a generous 3-month free trial in June 2015 with the promise that its human-curated playlists would make users discover a lot of new music better than the other streaming services out there. As well as launching a free three-month deal, Apple's Music platform signs exclusives in hopes that more and more users will use it's service. For example, the company signed an exclusive deal with Taylor Swift, which paved the way for many other major exclusives, such as Drake and even Britney Spears’ new album, was also just launched exclusively on Apple Music not that long ago.
The company already has 15 million subscribers so far, and its stepping up preparation in getting a complete redesign for Music app on iOS 10, once that launches sometime in the fall.
It’s unclear whether the Apple Music app on Android will receive a similar redesign when its counterpart app iOS 10 launches this fall. For now, Apple has added an equalizer on Android because not all Android phones have an equalizer in the phone's settings or default music app. Users who know a thing or two can root the phone to add theequalizer, but most don't, which is a nice feature for Apple to include.
