The dimensions of the VR headset measures 201 x 107 x 91mm and comes in at 208.7g. It can also accommodate phones with a variety screen sizes such as 4.7 inches to 5.7 inches. Like with most VR headsets out there on the market already, there is also a standalone app that lets users view 360-degree content and play VR games specifically designed for the headset, similar to Google's upcoming DayDream software, although Xiaomi did not specify if there is DayDream support.

The privately owned Chinese company is currently taking registrations for beta testers to wear the headset, and while there's no official information on retail pricing yet, certain media outlets report, that it is estimated to be under $10 in certain markets.
