Apple buys machine learning and artificial intelligence company Turi
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are definitely the activities that most people and other tech companies are interested and spends a lot of time doing. And they contribute their major quota and also make a serious attempt to major in it.
Report reaching us is that, Apple has purchased machine learning and artificial company called Turi. The money used to purchase the company is not known yet but it is claimed that the deal worth $200 million.
The acquisition statement and trademark statement Apple gives to the media in order to confirm that they really purchased the company is: “Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans.”
Formally Turi was known as Dato Graphlab, and was founded by a professor called carlos Guestrin. He was the University of Washington professor. Turi emerged from an open-source project in 2009. Carlos was in charge then.
The company aids developers to develop applications using machine learning and artificial intelligence. This machine learning and artificial intelligence has aid businesses and organizations flourished with product like GraphLab Create, Turi machine learning platform, Turi distributive and Turi Predictive services.
For now, we don’t have any idea what Apple will do with Turi, but some of the companies they have acquired include Perceptio, among others.
