Incipio is buying another tech company, Griffin
Incipio continues to buy big technology companies. This time, it's Griffin Technology. The purchase was announced today without revealing any terms of the deal. The acquisition allows Incipio to get a bigger grasp of the smartphone accessory market, where it is already well-known.
It's not the most exciting combination, but you can see that it makes perfect sense for Incipio from a productivity point of view. Andy Fathollahi, Incipio's CEO, explains their thinking in a statement, "As part of Incipio Group, Griffin strengthens our product development and manufacturing capabilities, complements our existing product lines in rugged cases, power and connectivity, and allows our brands to reach a broader domestic and international audience through enhanced distribution in the business-to-business, enterprise, and education verticals."
This purchase follows Incipio's other purchases with Skullcandy in June and Incase last year. Incipio is slowly taking over well-known brands that make cool products, that many people buy with their phone or computer.
