Seagate built a 60TB SSD, the highest capacity solid state drive for now
Not long ago, Samsung unveiled the 15 terabyte SSD. It was the world’s first largest SSD storage device at that time.
Report reaching us is that, Seagate has launched a 60 TB Solid state drive(SSD) and it is the largest SSD storage device for now. It was announced at the Flash Memory summit conference in Santa Clara on Tuesday. Seagate says that, the solid state drive capacity is four times larger and twice the density as much as Samsung’s recent 15 TB SSD and it could store 12,000 DVD movies or 400 million photos.
The heartbroken news is that the drive is only for demonstration purposes and it will be out in public somewhere in 2017. If your storage is running out of space, then you will have to look for an alternative storage device. For now, Seagate has not issued any price tag of the drive.
