LG V20 will use the same supplier for Quad DAC as the V10's
LG has recently announced that ESS Technology will supply a Quad DAC system for the V20, which is going to be unveiled next month. ESS Technology has already provided the digital-to-analog audio converters for other LG devices like the predecessor, the V10 and a Play module for the G5.
ESS Technology claims that this system is the first of its kind on smartphone devices It will provide 32-bit sound to headphone users and sound recordists with half as much of surrounding noises as a regular DAC would.
A commercial campaign starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt is planning to put ESS Technology's system to the test.
