It's fair to say that Huawei always aims to impress with its Mate line. Last year's Mate 8 was introduced in november and features a great metal design and specs that are still quite good, even though they are no longer on par with 2016 flagships.

In fact, because of the slightly outdated spec sheet, many have been left wondering when Huawei will release the Mate 9. Looking back at Huawei's previous releases, the company released the Mate 7 back at IFA 2014, while the Mate 8 was released the following year in November and, going by recent leaks, it's likely that we will see the Mate 9 announced around mid-October to November.

The reason we are telling you all of this is because it appears as though yet another leak of the Mate 9 has appeared online, this time of the devices chassis. As can be seen in the images, the device appears to sport a dual-camera setup, along with a fingerprint scanner on the rear. On either side of the camera's it seems as though the device features a dual-LED flash along with phase-detection autofocus. Looking at the bottom of the chassis, the device appears to feature a USB Type-C port and what appear to be two cutouts for speakers, possibly stereo sound ones.

Regarding the device's specs, so far the rumours point towards a 5.9-inch 1920x1080p (FHD) display, along with the HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor, 4GB of RAM, though a 6GB of RAM variant is also a possibility, and 64GB of internal storage. Looking at the cameras, its likely that there will be two 12MP sensors on the rear. Finally, it's rumoured the device will come with Android 7.0 Nougat straight out of the box.
