Have you ever done it? Been in a car with a sibling or friend and tried to count down when the stoplight will turn green. Maybe that's just me. Well, now you won't have to thanks to Audi.
This whole plan will eventually lead to "smart cities" according to The Verge, but don't expect that anytime soon. Once autonomous cars start to take over the market, they will need to be able to detect or communicate with more than just other cars. Traffic lights will be a huge challenge for self-driving cars, but when achieved and the devices can talk to each other, it will be a great experience.
Seeing this technology, which will be available in select 2017 models, is only proving that autonomous vehicles are on the way. It looks like our car will soon be able to communicate with the whole city. It will know what parking lots have available space, if you are going to "make this light" and more.
What do you think about this new tech? Will it make you feel like it's the count down for a race? Let us know in the comments below.
