GoPro's new Hero 5 leaks
A few weeks ago, an instructional video showed us the upcoming GoPro Hero 5. After that some leaked images of the Hero 5 started circulating on the internet. Also found, was an image of a manual for the next GoPro flagship was posted on Reddit.
The camera´s design is pretty similar to the last Hero 4. It's rectangular and the front-facing lens is placed in the top right corner, as usual. There´s also a small front-facing screen that´s suited on the left side of the camera, viewed from the front. One thing that is missing, is the menu/power button. But the latest leaks is considering that the camera will have a touch screen, so there´s no problem with the lack of a button. One problem with that is using it with gloves. So if you don't have touch gloves it may be hard to touch the screen. We can hope that there will be no lack of the capture/record button as well. As the Hero 4 Session, the Hero 5 seem to be waterproof out of the box.
The specs will probably be pretty similar to Hero 4, but with a few changes. If the leaked user manual isn´t fake the new GoPro probably be able to film in 4K and 30 fps (frames per second). But if you´re going down to a film quality of 720p you´ll be able to film with 120 fps.
There is also certain rumors going around stating that it will come with image stabilization on board. If doesn't, it would be a huge disappointment for some users. A GPS seems to be included, as well as voice control. According to Mirrorless Rumors the action camera will get a bigger battery at 1,220 mAh battery. And GoPro will probably ditch the Mini-USB and use the USB type C instead.
