Will your smartphone have double the battery it has now in 2017?
We all know the struggle where we run out of battery and we can't charge. When our battery has run out the rarest Pokemon ever appears and everyone is looking for it. This situation might end in 2017 because new lithium batteries are being developed that can house twice the power.
These lithium metal batteries will be the same size as a lithium ion battery, with twice the capacity, SolidEnergy CEO Qichao Hu says.
Nobody had cracked the problem yet but now this could change. Hu already developed a lithium metal foil anode that has a tiny size.
It would be amazing if the phone batterys would be twice as large, but a couple of yeas a go i heard a rumor that phone batteries would be able to charge in ten seconds, and that never happened.
