Facebook’s video-centric social app “Lifestage” is designed for high school students

Social media company Facebook has announced a social app called Lifestage. This app is created for High school students. The app can allow users to upload video clips onto their profiles.

As I mention earlier, the app is designed for High School kids so that they can connect with their classmates or friends. It means that, you cannot view other user’s profiles if you are not under the age of 22. Also users below the age of 22 would be able to use the app without a Facebook account. Moreover, the app allows users to take video of their BFFs and also take selfies of their facial expression, their dance among others.

Anyone can download the app and create an account for it, but you can only view other user’s profiles if you’re within the age specified. The cool thing about the app is that, it’s incorporated with blocking and visible options to safeguard users.

Report reaching us is that, the app was created by 19-year-old Facebook product manager Michael Sayman. "I wanted to work on an app that my demographic would relate to, or at least that my friends would want to use," - Sayman.

The app is free for iOS users to download.

What do you think about this newly created teens app? Let us know in the comments below or on any of our social media pages. We hope to hear from you.
