To all Samsung Milk Music users (Galaxy and Note smartphone owners), the music service is going to shut down in the US on the 22nd of September. Samsung stated that users of Milk Music could switch to Slacker since it powered it anyway.

Milk Music was a Pandora-like music streaming service for Samsung users. It launched back in 2014, which was quite oddly-timed despite it having a great designed platform. Samsung shut down its video streaming service as well in September last year after it launched, and it slowly abandoned the brand from then, like when it renamed Milk VR to "Samsung VR" in June 2016. Variety stated that the music service was likely going to close after July's bulk layoffs saw many executives axed from Samsung's Media Services Center of America. To fill up for the lack in this area, Samsung said in a statement that they will invest in a partner model that combines existing services into its device system.
