Improved audio features are hinted in new LG V20 teaser
LG has just released a new teaser for the upcoming LG V20. It shows a microphone stand as well as the Seoul launch dates for September 7th. There is also going to be another unveiling of the V20 in San Francisco on September 6th.
LG announced earlier this month that their V20 smartphone will be the first of its kind to include a quad DAC from ESS Technology. This will be LG's newest ES9218 SoC component. A 32-bit stereo channel DAC will support the 384kHz PCM and DSD512 data, analog volume controls as well as a built-in headphone amplifier. The V20 looks like it's going to have the best audio experience out of every smartphone on the market right now, and hopefully, it will keep up the good quality that the V10 brought.
Although the translation is a bit off, it says "hear, see, and more". LG wrote in a blog post announcing the event, the V20 will have "the best video and audio experience". We can possibly expect to find some new photo and video features to arrive with the V20 since leaked renders have already shown a dual camera setup.
