Report reaching us is that, smartphone company Samsung, is planning to sell refurbished smartphone to its consumers. According to Reuters, the company plans to introduce refurbished sales program starting early next year. It means that, customers will be able to buy a refurbished Samsung smartphone.

Also Samsung will offer refurbished premium smartphones such as the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge and the latest Note 7 at a discount to consumers who cannot buy them at the full price.

The company will refurbish expensive smartphones that are returned by users who signed up for a year upgrade programs in countries like United State and South Korea.

Tech giant company Apple started selling refurbished iPhones for a couple of years. They are still selling them in markets like the US. They made sales value of around 69 percent.

Selling refurbished phones could raise enough revenue stream for Samsung. Hence compete against low-cost Chinese phones in market like India, where most consumers cannot purchase expensive Samsung smartphones.
